Rachel Wingfield speaking on Bio-Technology Panel

Rachel Wingfield, director of Loop.pH will speak on the Bio-Technology Panel.  Loop.pH is a high-profile experimental art and design studio in London specializing in ecological design for lightweight temporary architecture, responsive environments and creating new urban visions for re-imaging the city.  Rachel and co-director Mathias Gmachl belong to an emerging generation of designers redefining conventions of how, why and with what things are made. Their projects engage with a large number of fields including participatory design, digital media, urban crafts, and public engagement. With a deep understanding of the complexity of ecological systems and natural cycles their approach to design and fabrication values the physical process of making as much as new and established research methodologies and theories.
